📋 Puja Procedure — Steps
Step 1: रक्षाबन्धन — तैयारी
Sister decorates the puja thali with lamp, roli, akshata, rakhi, sweets, coconut. Brother sits to the right.
Step 2: रक्षाबन्धन — राखी बाँधना
Sister applies tilak, akshata on brother's forehead. Ties rakhi on right wrist. Chant the raksha mantra. Feed sweets. Brother gives gift.
Step 3: भाई दूज — तिलक
Sister invites brother to her home. Applies roli-chandan-sindoor tilak on his forehead. Offers akshata, flowers. Waves lamp (aarti).
Step 4: भाई दूज — भोजन एवं उपहार
Sister feeds brother a special home-cooked meal. Brother gives sister a gift.
